Firstly, we want to say congratulations to all our Year 11s. We are incredibly proud of their maturity, patience and the resilience demonstrated throughout this period of uncertainty while they waited for their KS4 results.
In the last two years, The Brittons Academy has seen significant positive progress and we continue to build on last year’s success with this year’s outcomes. All our students have been conditionally offered a place at Sixth Form, College or on an Apprenticeship of their choice.
Our Head Boy, Lennon Crandle, was awarded; a Grade 7, two Grade 8s and six Grade 9s and is looking forward to studying four A-Levels in; Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths. Lennon said:
“I’m so grateful and humbled. Brittons have been so supportive with all the changes I have made in both my personal and academic life. It goes to show, what you put in, you get out and if you’re willing to work, you’ll be rewarded. I have loved my time at Brittons and want to say thank you for preparing me for the next chapter of my life.”
Our Head Girl, Alyssa Buttery, achieved Grades 4s and 5s in all her subjects alongside a Centre-Assessed Level 2 Pass in Child Development and she is eagerly awaiting her strongest subject, Music, with results being released shortly. Alyssa said:
“I’m over-the-moon with my results. Thanks to all the teachers who helped me. Brittons have been so supportive and now I can move on successfully to my music course in London.”
Alyssa has been accepted at Access Creative College, London, to follow her dream of becoming a musician.
Another member of our Student Leadership Team, Apurva Bhattacharyya, is also waiting for his Music qualification to be awarded but received the highest GCSE grade in all his other subjects with eight Grade 9s. He is now plans to enrol at Brampton Manor. Apruva said:
“I’m so grateful to all the teachers for the experience I’ve had at Brittons. The support is incredible and I want to dedicate my results to all of them who helped me. The teachers are so encouraging and even outside lessons, they always have time to support you which means if you work hard, it’s possible to get the best grades.”
All the staff at The Brittons Academy wish the cohort of 2020 the very best in their future endeavours and want them to know they will be greatly missed.
